April 2019

The Town of Coxsackie's Planning Board will hold an open hearing in April on Fallen Tree, a plant proposed by Cypress Creek for an area directly across from homes in the Sleepy Hollow Lake development. Set in a high-density rural residential district, the plant would be sited under Coxsackie’s previous solar law, which requires the town’s site plan approval. Much of the site will involve clear-cutting woodlands. Saving Greene is concerned about runoff during construction and while ground cover is being established under and between the panels, as well as the unremediated views of some Sleepy Hollow residents.

May 2019

Coxsackie Planning Board members agree to visit the site during the May 2 Planning Board Meeting. Agenda for June meeting not available as of June 3.

July 2019 - Town of Coxsackie denies permit for Cypress Creek to move forward with this project.
